What the papers say

what to expect when visiting

On arrival you will be greeted by a member of the Floatopia staff in reception, who will guide you through into the float centre. You will be given a towel and slippers and shown to your own private float suite where the facilities and best float practice will be outlined to you. We recommend that you have a quick shower and avail yourself of the ear plugs provided prior to entering the float room itself. It is also recommended to float naked as even the sensation of wearing a swimming costume can detract from the float experience; although of course this is not mandatory.

As you enter the float room and lie down there will be some soft music playing to ease you into your float (the music will fade away after 5 minutes.) You simply pull the door closed and in your own time turn out the light before drifting into complete peace. The end of your session will be indicated by the music fading back up to gently rouse you from your float. You should then turn the light back on - push open the door and step out of the float room.

It is now time to have a thorough shower (shampoo, conditioner and shower gels provided) prior to dressing and making your way to our chill-out lounge where you can gradually adjust back to the outside world with some complimentary herbal tea.
